Learn to Groom Your Own Dog & Similar

This course is ideal for anyone who wants to learn how to groom their own dog. It's designed to give you all the bespoke knowledge on what tools and equipment to use for your pet and how to treat their type of coat.

What you will learn on this course:

General introduction to dog grooming and why it's important

Drying and brushing techniques

Understanding nails, clipping and scissoring (if applicable)

Bathing: what products you use, why you use them and what techniques are used

Hygienic cleaning: the importance of anal gland expression, ear cleaning and teeth cleaning

Shaping techniques using clippers and scissors (if applicable)

This course is split over 3 days

Day 1 - Learn how to wash and blow dry. Along with nails and ear care.
Day 2 - Become confident with the clipping process
Day 3 - Learn how to complete the full groom on your dog

Each day runs 10am - 5pm

Please note if your dog is double coated or short coated and does not require clipping or scissoring, you will only need to attend two of the three days. Please drop us an email at education@groomarts.academy if you would like to book just the 2 day course. The cost per day is £200. You can bring your own dog but if you would prefer to use another dog one can be supplied for you.
