There are many providers that deliver basic dog grooming skills with some kind of level 3 qualification. However, a qualification alone is no guarantee of your ability to be a professionally competent pet stylist who can handle all customer requirements, dog breeds, temperaments and guarantee you won't make an extremely expensive mistake.

Don't waste your money and time on cheap services and certainly don't waste your money on an online programme which will leave you feeling insecure and completely unable to work at a secure professional standard.

We can all agree that when it comes to value for money, what we want is quality and security over hype, professional over easy and cheapness.

We are not going to sell you an idea of who we are or some marketing hype just to take your money. We care about you, pets and what happens in this industry, so we're just going to point out the simple facts:

    1. We have trained more professionals and put more people into a professional dog grooming business than any other provider in the UK.
    2. We are backed by a world renown Master Groomer who transfers her skills to all those who arrive.
    3. All teaching staff are highly trained, highly qualified and have won awards on the national and international circuit.
    4. You will not share dogs. You will work on 28 dogs of differing breeds, coats and temperaments.
    5. You will be supported by highly trained staff throughout, to develop your skills, your confidence and prepare you towards a professionally competent standard.
    6. You will achieve the Ofqual regulated iPet Level 3 Diploma in Dog Grooming and Salon Management.
    7. You will be taught skills, tips, tricks and hints that are not taught in the curriculum and have been acquired by our Master Groomer and teaching staff from over 30 years of salon, teaching and competition experience.

If that sounds like your sort of thing then get in touch and we can help you on the first steps of your new journey.

  • Duration and Daily start

Unlike other schools where your training is spread out over a longer period of time, where students start the day late and finish the day early for the convenience of the school, we on the other hand know that it is difficult for you to get valuable time off to focus on starting your new career, which is why we have condensed your training into the an intensive month-long programme over four consecutive weeks. You will get a higher concentration of hours in a shorter time which is designed to turn you into a confident professional who is ready to start their business.

    Each course starts every month.

Each day you'll arrive 15 minutes before your dog arrives. There will be two groups and each group has a slightly different start time. With the first group starting at 8:30am and finishing at 5:30pm & the second group starting at 9am and finishing at 6pm.

Throughout each day you will be supported and guided towards developing your knowledge and skills towards becoming a Professional Pet Stylist

  • Teaching time and Assessment

The guided learning hours (GLH) for the course are 300 hours, including 100 hours of online e-learning. The remaining hours are conducted onsite with a strong emphasis on professional practical skills. We pride ourselves on delivering the maximum teaching hours in the shortest possible time so that you get the most benefits from your training. In total you will receive 4 weeks of e-learning and 4 weeks intensive practical learning at our main academy.

The assessment process is designed to be seamless and stress-free. Unlike traditional exams, there’s no need to worry about cramming for a final test. Instead, your progress will be meticulously documented through an e-portfolio. As you groom the 29 dogs during the course, our professional teachers will capture your progress with lots of photos, creating a comprehensive portfolio showcasing your evolving skills. This portfolio serves as compelling evidence of your capabilities.

Once compiled, the e-portfolio is sent to the awarding body for review and validation
