Awarding Bodies Change Name

Groomarts Academy would like to announce that our awarding body, previously Open College Network West Midlands has merged with iPET Network Qualifications and Assessment Group, and will now be known as iPET Network Qualifications and Assessment Group. 

This merger will ensure the continued success of both industry leading qualification awarding bodies. Between them, the two awarding organisations have over forty years’ experience of developing regulated, high-quality qualifications for the education and training sector, and more recently, as a recognised specialist in the delivery of end-point assessments for apprentices.

At Groomarts Academy, this will mean minimal changes but all future certificates, will be awarded by iPET Network Qualifications part of the iPET Network Qualifications and Assessment Group. We are also an approved centre for iPET Network Qualifications, this means that we are a centre of excellence; have a team of people who are competent, experienced teachers and managers.

iPET Network Qualifications is a leading, international, Awarding Organisation (AO) offering qualifications from entry level to level 6 diplomas for learners in a variety of settings. Many iPET Network qualifications are included within relevant apprenticeship frameworks issued by the Creative and Cultural Skills Industries.They are also regulated by Ofqual, and licensed by the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education (QAA) to award and certificate the Access to Higher Education (HE) Diploma.
